Cervical Cancer Biopsy
A cervical cancer biopsy screening may be needed if vaginosis, or a vaginal wart are present.
This sample is sent to a lab for analysis of the abnormal cells present on the cervix to more accurately determine the level of symptoms. This is a tissue sample that is taken when a colposcopy is performed as a follow-up diagnostic tool to an abnormal pap smear.
A cervical cancer biopsy screening may be needed if vaginosis, or a vaginal wart are present.

In most cases more than one tissue sample is obtained. The tissue sample is collected by using small biopsy forceps or a large needle. A doctor will take a tissue sample from areas that appear to be abnormal from performing the colposcopy. A cervical cancer biopsy screening may be needed if vaginosis, or a vaginal wart are present.
