Cervical Cancer Virus
Commonly known as the cervical cancer virus, HPV is the correct name, and may also be the cause of vulvar vestibulitis.
The development of the disease is gradual, and begins with dysplasia, which is treatable without surgical removal of the uterus. The term refers to the disease causing by the flattened or “squamous” cells covering the cervix or from the glandular, mucus-secreting cells.
