Stage Of Cervical Cancer
The first stage of cervical cancer could be indicated by signs of infertility or most commonly if the human papillomavirus is detected.
The cancerous phase is called carcinoma in situ. The first is ASCUS, second is mild dysplasia, then moderate dysplasia, then finally severe dysplasia. There are different phases of dysplasia, or pre-cancerous cells. Cancerous cells of the cervix sometimes take years to mutate.

This is determined by testing the Pap smear sample through HPV DNA testing. When the diagnosis is dysplasia of the cervix, typically the cause is the HPV virus. This means the source is undetermined. ASCUS stands for atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance. The first stage of cervical cancer could be indicated by signs of infertility or most commonly if the human papillomavirus is detected.
