Testing For Cervical Cancer
Testing for cervical cancer is a good idea, especially if vulvar vestibulitis or vaginitis are present.
If abnormal cells are detected, doctors will then remove the cells. Doctors are trying to prevent invasive carcinoma. This is the reason women have an annual exam each year. The screening most commonly used for detecting carcinoma of the cervix is a pap smear.

You can only create your own immunity to the symptoms. The reason for recurrence is the fact that the HPV virus causes 80% of abnormal pap readings, and you cannot surgically remove the virus.
