Cancer Cervical Hysterectomy
After cancer cervical hysterectomy, a routine pap smear is recommended to monitor changes resulting from HPV transference to neighboring cells.
Sometimes the surgery is a success meaning that there is no recurrence of cancerous cells after the uterus, cervix, etc. has been removed. Pap screenings are still recommended after removal of the uterus, or in some cases the fallopian tubes as well, to monitor any possible cancer activity.
After cancer cervical hysterectomy, a routine pap smear is recommended to monitor changes resulting from HPV transference to neighboring cells.

Cancer Cervical Hysterectomy -

Radical surgery is often performed on women whom have had recurrent severe dysplasia of the cervix. This is after they have had multiple procedures, such as ECC, conizations, or LEEPs. Removal of the uterus can still result in a recurrence of dysplasia given it has traveled to the vaginal walls. After cancer cervical hysterectomy, a routine pap smear is recommended to monitor changes resulting from HPV transference to neighboring cells.
