Dysplasia of the cervix is cellular changes of the cervix. It is prominently caused by HPV. 80% of women with dysplasia of the cervix were found to have HPV. The Human Papilloma Virus, which is a skin-to-skin contracted virus, is the virus that also causes warts. A cervical cancer cell might be detected after reoccuring problems with verruca, or a genital wart.
