Cervical Cancer Stage 4
Cervical cancer stage 4 has a poorer prognosis and may be more difficult to treat with colposcopy and cryosurgery alone.
The FIGO system classifies this condition into four basic periods, labeled 0 (normal) through 4 (serious disorder.) In the most advanced disorder, the tumor spreads to organs located near the cervix and other parts of the body far from the cervix. This stage often requires immediate hysterectomy.
Cervical cancer stage 4 has a poorer prognosis and may be more difficult to treat with colposcopy and cryosurgery alone.

This stage of the disorder is determined by information obtained through various examinations, such as biopsy, cystoscopy, abdominal ultrasound, computer tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging. These methods determine the tumor’s size, depth of penetration, and spread within or beyond the cervix and help choose the most suitable method of treatment. Cervical cancer stage 4 has a poorer prognosis and may be more difficult to treat with colposcopy and cryosurgery alone.
