HPV Cancer
HPV cancer strains target the cervix which is poor in rejecting infections, resulting in dysplasia that is treatable using cryotherapy.
It usually takes many years for malignancies to develop. Atypical tissues are more likely to progress in women who smoke and have other cervical cancer risk factors. Without treatment severely dysplastic cells penetrate deeper layers of the cervix and spread to other organs, causing invasive cervical cancer.
