A colocoscopy (colposcopy)will sometimes be performed if the genital or penile wart virus (Human Papillomavirus)is suspected. If the abnormal area is rather small, it can be removed by a biopsy. The procedure is very simple and has no side effects, it doesn’t affect the ability to have children. For several days after the procedure it is normal to have a dark discharge and light discomfort.
