Colposcopy Test
When a colposcopy test is reccommended, the symptoms will be diagnosed and won't be treated with the colposcopy, such as lichen sclerosis.
This procedure is a more accurate comparing to Pap tests, but requires more skill and time to perform. During this procedure a small sample of the abnormal tissue (biopsy) may be taken for further analysis in the lab and determining its nature.

In this procedure the vagina and the surface of the cervix are examined through alighted microscope (colposcope) for signs of cervical dysplasia or cancer. The procedure is usually done after a Pap smear test showing abnormal cells in the cervix. When a colposcopy test is reccommended, the symptoms will be diagnosed and won't be treated with the colposcopy, such as lichen sclerosis.
