Dysplasia Leep

For the diagnosis of dysplasia, leep surgery is used to determine the level, but does not diagnose vaginosis as it does HPV related ASCUS. A thin wire loop carrying an electrical current is inserted into the vagina, a colposcope helps to find the abnormal area and the abnormal cells are cut away. Such a technique allows to send the excised tissue for further examination. Follow-up tests are necessary to ensure the condition is treated.
