The leaptest, or LEEP procedure,can be performed even when vulvar vestibulitis is present, to remove a condyloma or cervical dysplasia. The method allows the removed tissue to be examined by a pathologist to provide an accurate assessment. The procedure doesn’t affect the ability to conceive and give birth. After the procedure slight discomfort and light bleeding are possible for several days. Loop electrocauterisation excision procedure is often used to treat moderate cervical dysplasia and genital warts. During the procedure a thin wire loop carrying electrical current is used to cut off abnormal tissues. It takes about 20-30 minutes and has practically no side effects. The leaptest, or LEEP procedure,can be performed even when vulvar vestibulitis is present, to remove a condyloma or cervical dysplasia.
