A Typical Pap Smear
A typical pap smear detects abnormalities in the cervical area and helps prevent miscarriage and serious vulvar conditions.
When the deviation is slight, the classification is considered as a level of least risk for cervical cancer. When a cytology finding is ascertained to have cells that deviate from the usual types found on the outermost epithelial lining of the cervix, it is considered abnormal.
