Atypia Pap Smear
Atypia pap smear doesn't necessarily mean cervical dysplasia, but careful monitoring is important for preventing cervical cancer.
During the procedure, some cells are scrapped from the cervix and sent for examination. The test is painless and simple and may cause only minor discomfort. This test plays a great role in diagnosing cervical dysplasia and other problems, which have no symptoms.

Colposcopy and biopsy are often performed to remove abnormalities from the surface of the cervix. If the test is positive, it should be repeated or the doctor may want to look at your cervix more closely with a help of a colposcope. Atypia pap smear doesn't necessarily mean cervical dysplasia, but careful monitoring is important for preventing cervical cancer.
