Cervical Dysplasia Infertility
When diagnosed with cervical dysplasia, infertility may be part of the problem when ASCUS is present as other vulvar infections are also.
With the opening of the cervix being small, not much swelling or lesions would be needed to make it difficult for sperm to penetrate into the canal of the cervix. When abnormal cells are present on the cervix due to HPV, it is very possible that fertility could be reduced.
When diagnosed with cervical dysplasia, infertility may be part of the problem when ASCUS is present as other vulvar infections are also.

Researchers also believe that HPV may cause a drop in sperm count or mobility. Also if the there are a lot of T-cells, white blood cells, in the area fighting the virus or if the area is inflamed, it would be hard for the sperm to get past the opening.
