Colpolscopy
During a colpolscopy exam it is possible to determine vaginal wart, vulvar vestibulitis and other HPV-related disorders.
Abnormal areas remain white and light doesn’t pass through them. A solution of acetic acid is applied to the cervix and it is examined with a bright light. This procedure involves an examination of the cervix under a magnification with a help of a colposcope.
During a colpolscopy exam it is possible to determine vaginal wart, vulvar vestibulitis and other HPV-related disorders.

If abnormal area is rather small, it can be removed completely during the same visit to the doctor. Often it is accompanied by biopsy (taking a sample of the abnormal area). Usually, this procedure is performed after an abnormal Pap smear test to detect the nature of the problem. During a colpolscopy exam it is possible to determine vaginal wart, vulvar vestibulitis and other HPV-related disorders.
