Intraepithelial Lesion
An intraepithelial lesion, cervical dysplasia, vaginitis and other genital disorders are often associated with HPV.
High-grade SIL and carcinoma in situ (CIN 3) may turn to invasive carcinoma (cancer that spreads to other organs) if not treated in proper time. It is classified as low-grade and high-grade. SIL is a condition that often precedes the development of cervical cancer if not treated.
An intraepithelial lesion, cervical dysplasia, vaginitis and other genital disorders are often associated with HPV.

Risk factors for developing cervical cancer are smoking, early onset of sexual activity and multiple sexual partners. It is still unknown what causes this condition, but it is strongly associated with HPV and HIV (viruses that reduce the ability of the immune system to fight infections). An intraepithelial lesion, cervical dysplasia, vaginitis and other genital disorders are often associated with HPV.
