Leep Cervical
When a doctor recommends the procedure called a leep, cervical tissue abnormalities will have been found and cryosurgery is another treatment for cervical dysplasia.
It is performed with a thin wire loop carrying an electrical current. After a Pap smear test and colposcopy procedure have detected the presence of abnormal cells in the cervix, this procedure may be necessary to remove the abnormal cells.
