Leep Procedure
The leep procedure is not used for removing a genital wart, but rather dysplastic cells related to the human papillomavirus.
This treatment is normally done at a hospital. The loop eletrosurgical excision process is a surgical treatment for cervical dysplasia where a wire, with electricity running through it, is used to cut away areas of abnormal cells on the cervix.

Leep Procedure -

Doctors will have a follow-up exam about 4-6 weeks after this procedure. It takes about 3-4 weeks for the cervix to heal after this process, in which women are instructed to refrain from intercourse, douching, and using tampons. This treatment is done for moderate to severe dysplasia. The leep procedure is not used for removing a genital wart, but rather dysplastic cells related to the human papillomavirus.
