Pap Smear After Hysterectomy
A pap smear after hysterectomy or cone biopsy helps to determine if vaginosis or any atypical cells are left.
Regular screening for women who have had their uterus removed has been found to be less useful even though vaginal cancer can advance more rapidly. Screening for cervical cancer allows cancer to be detected in early stages before it becomes progressive.
