Thin Prep Pap Test
A thin prep pap test determines the presence of HPV in the organism, but doesn't diagnose genital wart and other disorders.
It may cost a little more, but it offers increased sensitivity to finding atypical cells beyond what the conventional method offers, thereby, reducing the risk of a false negative. Although some certain cervical disorders may be easily found using conventional cytology techniques, an option to the standard is available.

As a benefit, unnecessary diagnostic surgical procedures for ASCUS may be avoided. Since most kinds of tumor-causing HPV is associated with HPV infection, this method offers greater chances of finding the disease.
