Cervical Leep
A cervical leep, or leep procedure, is used to treat HPV viruses, along with cryosurgery.
After the procedure mild discomfort, itching and bleeding are possible for several days. The patient should not have sexual intercourse, lift heavy objects, douche and use tampons as long as the physician recommends. The follow-up Pap smears and colposcopy are necessary.

LEEP Procedure, Cryosurgery
This procedure is rather simple; it is used for cutting away the affected tissue of the cervix after the Pap smear test has identified abnormal cells. During this procedure a thin wire loop electrode attached to an electrosurgical generator is used to remove abnormal cells. A cervical leep, or leep procedure, is used to treat HPV viruses, along with cryosurgery.
