Cervical Conization
A cervical conization is not performed to remove verruca, nor is a LEEP procedure performed for this form of hpv.
The procedure is used for the definite diagnosis of squamous or glandular intraepithelial lesions, for excluding microinvasive carcinomas, and for treatment of CIN. The term is referred to excision of a cone-shaped wedge from the uteri that includes the transformation zone and all or a portion of the endocervical canal.
A cervical conization is not performed to remove verruca, nor is a LEEP procedure performed for this form of hpv.

But the benefits of using laser may not justify its high cost. It doesn’t require general anesthesia. LEEP procedures are known for rapidity, preservation of the margins, and virtual bloodlessness. The procedure is performed with a scalpel (cold-knife), laser, or electrosurgical loop (LEEP or LLETZ). A cervical conization is not performed to remove verruca, nor is a LEEP procedure performed for this form of hpv.
