Cervical Adenocarcinoma
Cervical adenocarcinoma is one disease that is on the rise in spite of Pap smear although HPV related dysplasia and other carinomas is decreasing.
The symptom is abnormal bleeding that leads to evaluation of the endometrium. Risk factors are: obesity (suggests a 10-fold increase in risk if an individual is more than 50 lbs heavier than the ideal weight), nulliparity, a late menopause, some drugs (tamoxifen, oral contraceptives), family history, and phenotype characteristics.
Cervical adenocarcinoma is one disease that is on the rise in spite of Pap smear although HPV related dysplasia and other carinomas is decreasing.

This condition is the most common gynecological cancer. The mortality rate is 5.8 deaths per 100,000 persons in black women and 3.1 deaths per 100,000 persons in white women. It occurs mostly during the reproductive (25%) and menopausal (75%) years. Cervical adenocarcinoma is one disease that is on the rise in spite of Pap smear although HPV related dysplasia and other carinomas is decreasing.
