Cervical Infection
Cervical infection,impairing cells that may be detected on a Pap smear, is commonly caused by sexually transmitted diseases such as HPV, herpes, or bacterial types.
Sometimes sexual intercourses may be painful due to dyspareunia, vaginitis, or some other factors. Pain may also be caused by psychological factors: previous sexual trauma, feelings of guilt, or negative attitude towards sex. Good hygiene and routine medical care will help in most cases.
