Cervical Surgery
Two typical types of cervical surgery are LEEP procedure and cryotherapy.
It’s effective at a minimum cost. A repeated Pap smear should be done to ensure that the operation was successful. Risks for such treatment are bleeding and infection. Normal activities can be resumed immediately after the operation, avoidance of sexual intercourse is recommended for several weeks.

LEEP Procedure, Cryotherapy
Treats abnormal tissue using instruments and extremely cold temperatures to freeze and destroy it. Cryotherapy is done when the patient is awake. The cryo probe is inserted into the vagina and placed on the surface of the abnormal tissue. Compressed gaseous nitrogen flows through the instrument, making the metal cold.
