HPV Cervical
HPV cervical cancer is reduced by women getting a routine Pap smear to detect impaired cells caused by HPV and other diseases.
Cancer is unlikely to progress in women who don’t smoke or have other cervical cancer risk factors. Without treatment severely dysplastic cells penetrate deeper layers of the cervix and spread to other organs, causing invasive cervical cancer. It usually takes many years for cancer of the cervix to develop.
