Inflammation Of The Cervix
Inflammation of the cervix is usually caused by cervical dysplasia, and doctors will often perform a colposcopy to determine the amount of inflammation.
Often times, since it is viral, the antibiotics do not work. It often is misdiagnosed as chronic yeast infections, and is treated with an antibiotic called Metronidazole. Bacterial vaginosis is being linked to the HPV virus. When the cervical region becomes inflamed it is likely to be caused by bacterial vaginosis.
