Speculum Cervix
To speculum cervix tissue, a special instrument is used, it is also used during a colposcopy to detect the human papilloma virus.
The examiner should use warm gloved hands and warmed instruments and explain each step of the examination in advance. The patient should be given an opportunity to empty her bladder and should be drapped appropriately. This examination evaluates vaginal wall and cervical area.
