Abnormal Cells Cervix
When a Pap smear detects abnormal cells, cervix can be further diagnoticly tested using HPV DNA testing or cone biopsy.
CIN (cervical intra-epithelial neoplasia) is not a cancer, but can be described as pre-cancerous changes, divided into three types: CIN I, CIN 2, and CIN 3. The treatment is usually simple and includes laser therapy, cryotherapy, cold coagulation,and other methods.

HPV, Cone Biopsy
Women are encouraged to have Pap smears regularly, because it allows doctors to pick up early changes (abnormalities) in the genitalia. These abnormalities don't necessarily mean cancer, it may be any infection or hormone treatment results, and a condition known as CIN. When a Pap smear detects abnormal cells, cervix can be further diagnoticly tested using HPV DNA testing or cone biopsy.
