Cervix Polyps
Cervix polyps may be biopsied and removed if they show ASCUS results on a pap smear.
The symptoms are: abnormal vaginal bleeding (postcoital, after douching, between periods, and after menopause), heavy periods (menorrhagia), white or yellow heavy discharge. The disorder can be asymptomatic. The condition is benign, easily removed by electrocautery or laser vaporization, and regrowth is uncommon.

Cervix Polyps -
ASCUS, Pap Smear
They are small, fragile, fingerlike growths on the mucosal surface of the cervix or endocervical canal. Its cause is not completely understood, it is frequently the result of various infections, chronic inflammation, or congestion of cervical blood vessels. Some cervical cancers may first appear as a polyp. Cervix polyps may be biopsied and removed if they show ASCUS results on a pap smear.
