Friable Cervix
HPV infections and other STDs may lead to conditions like friable cervix or cervical dysplasia and colposcopy and cryosurgery treatment.
In addition to a routine pap smear, screening for infection is often necessary in women who complain of bleeding. General management of this condition includes pressure with swab, silver nitrate stick (chemical destruction of the lesion), or monsel's solution (saline solution causing constriction of tissues and vessels).

Friable Cervix -
Colposcopy, Cryosurgery
Essentially means cervical tissue is very prone to bleeding and is symptomatic of a variety of cervical disorders such as PID. Trichomonas, bacterial vaginosis, chlamydia, gonorrhea, can cause the cervix to become very friable (soft,eroded) and bleed. Screening for infection is often necessary in women who complain of bleeding. HPV infections and other STDs may lead to conditions like friable cervix or cervical dysplasia and colposcopy and cryosurgery treatment.
