Open Cervix
Improper closed or open cervix can cause issues related to miscarriage and infertility.
Usually it doesn't matter if what shape and size the opening is. The problem may arise only if the opening is pinpoint (stenotic), which impedes the menstrual flow and leads to increased cramping and a higher chance of endometrosis. Multiple D&Cs or LEEP may cause such condition.

Open Cervix -

Most women (but not all) who have never had a child or any operations have a small round cervical opening. After she gives birth or after the dilation for some procedures the opening may be larger and oval in shape. Improper closed or open cervix can cause issues related to miscarriage and infertility.
