Tumor of the cervix can be treated using colposcopy and cryosurgery.
Some factors that may increase a women’s risk for developing cancer include having had an STD, chlamydia and HPV are strongly associated with cervical cancer. A sexual partner whose previous partner had cervical cancer or dysplasia, or a family history of cancer of the cervix also increases risk.

Cervical cancer is most often found in women aged 40-55. This cancer if found early usually has no symptoms. Only when the cancer invades the surrounding tissue do the symptoms start appearing. Abnormal vaginal bleeding, bleeding after intercourse, douching or a pap smear, bleeding after menopause are some symptoms. Tumor of the cervix can be treated using colposcopy and cryosurgery.
