Dysplasia Cervical Cancer

Dysplasia cervical cancer is often linked to a genital wart caused by HPV. Non-cancerous cells are slow progressing and if caught early enough can be treated. The most common treatments are surgeries that remove tissue on the cervix that contains abnormal cells. Follow up exams are encouraged since in some cases the precancerous cells may return. Dysplastic cells of the cervix, due to HPV, can become malignant cells of the cervix if they are left untreated. Yearly Pap smears are recommended for all women who have been sexually active for the sole purpose of catching the abnormal cells while they are just precancerous. Dysplasia cervical cancer is often linked to a genital wart caused by HPV.
