Pap Smear Test




The pap smear test will detect the presence of abnormal cell tissue and cryosurgery or cryotherapy is a method of treatment. The diagnosis is made only after the colposcopy exam, which determines the nature of the abnormalities and their location. Mild stages of cervical dysplasia may heal by their own, especially in young girls; severe stages may turn into cervical cancer if left untreated.
