Low Grade Dysplasia




When diagnosed with low grade dysplasia, the wart virus HPV is usually detected and cryosurgery can be performed to remove the dysplastic cells. Such women have to be screened every 6 months to make sure the disorder doesn’t progress into more dangerous stages. If the results of the Pap smear test are suspicious, the doctor will perform a colposcopy exam and a biopsy to detect the nature of the problem. When diagnosed with low grade dysplasia, the wart virus HPV is usually detected and cryosurgery can be performed to remove the dysplastic cells.

This condition has several stages: CIN 1 (mild), CIN 2 (moderate) and CIN 3 (severe or carcinoma in situ). Mild stages are better not to treat, especially in young girls, because the disorders are minor and the young system is able to cope with them. When diagnosed with low grade dysplasia, the wart virus HPV is usually detected and cryosurgery can be performed to remove the dysplastic cells.
