Leap Surgery
Leap surgery, or LEEP surgery is not performed on conditions such as vaginosis, and has similar results to a cone biopsy.
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia and may cause light discomfort and pain; light itching and bleeding are possible for several days after the operation. It’s better not to have sexual intercourse and not to use tampons for several weeks.

The loop electrosurgical excision procedure is also called LLETZ (large loop excision of the transformation zone.) It is used to treat abnormal changes, such as cervical dysplasia, HGSIL and some others. It involves a loop of wire heated by an electric current.
