Carcinoma in situ cervix abnormalities are classed in three stages, usually caused by the vaginal and penile wart viruses, HPV. Cervical dysplasia in general means disordered growths on the cells and tissues. Without treatment it can grow into an invasive cancer, that is why regular Pap smear tests are necessary to detect and cure the disease on the earliest stages. Carcinoma in situ cervix abnormalities are classed in three stages, usually caused by the vaginal and penile wart viruses, HPV.

This term refers to the stages of the cervical dysplasia and means that the entire thickness is disordered. There exist three stages of cervical dysplasia: CIN 1 – mild disorder when only a few cells are abnormal; CIN 2 – moderate disorder involving about one-half of the cells. Carcinoma in situ cervix abnormalities are classed in three stages, usually caused by the vaginal and penile wart viruses, HPV.
