Leep Loop
In leep, loop of electrical current is used to remove tissue under colposcopy magnification and is common in treating a genital wart.
During the procedure a fine wire with electrical energy flowing through it is used. The removed tisue is send to the laboratory. The operation is usually done under local or general anesthesia and causes little discomfort, though some bleeding and itching afterwards is possible.

Another name for "LLETZ" or "LEEP," the procedure for removing abnormal areas of the cervix for examination. It can treat and diagnose cervical dysplasia at the same time, often replacing biopsy.
