Leep Cone Surgery
A leep cone surgery is performed to diagnose the severity of dysplasia, other diagnostic tests are cryotherapy and cryosurgery.
Biopsy is another method for removing abnormal tissues, which allows further examination by a pathologist. During the operation a sample is cut off from the cervix under general anesthesia. If cervical dysplasia is found, no additional therapy is needed; if it is cancer further treatment is prescribed.
