A thin prep will usually diagnose the presence of the wart virus called the human papillomavirus. All cases of cervical dysplasia, abnormal growths and other problems are easy to cure at low stages. This Pap test involves collecting a small sample of cells from the cervix for analysis. Every woman should pass through this test annually and women who are at risk for cervical cancer should have more frequent tests.
